As a family run hotel, we recognize the importance to the success of our business in bringing a positive benefit to the society in which we operate through high quality service, environmental protection, community involvement and good employment practices.

 

We have also developed individual Environmental, Health and safety, Quality policies in order to comply with the local and International Standard requirements. Our Employees, Social and Suppliers policies are in line with Travel Life requirements helping us maintain good relations throughout.

These goals are just the beginning of an ongoing journey towards sustainability. We are proud to have achieved the Gold Travel Life Award and hope to maintain it for many years to come.

Anemi Hotel condemns all forms of child exploitation.  Anemi Hotel does not recruit child labour, and we support the elimination of exploitative child labour. 

 

We also support legislation enacted to prevent and punish the crime of sexual exploitation of children.  We will work to raise awareness concerning such exploitation and will cooperate with law enforcement authorities to address any instances of exploitation of which Anemi Hotel becomes aware.

 

Our staff are informed about the department of Domestic Violence and Child Abuse office in Cyprus, tel 22808442 and its actions.

 

Actively we support and participate in a children’s local shelter as a chairman of the committee, offering

Shelter, food and healthy environment for 100 children while their parent Is at work throughout the year.

Anemi Hotel is a family run property  providing high quality hotel accommodation and services.

 

 This is achieved through :

 

  1. a) the employment of professional, qualified and experienced personnel

All employees have been made aware of our operational goals and practising standards. 

 

All our suppliers, whether of products or services, have been assessed against our purchasing requirements to ensure that they fulfil our operational standards and business goals.

 

The effectiveness of our hospitality services and guest satisfaction is monitored through our own guest questionnaires, Tour Operator’s questionnaire analysis, review sites such as Tripadvisor as well as management and staff consultations.

At the Anemi Hotel we strive to exceed our customer’s expectations and believe our loyal employees are our most valuable resource in achieving this goal. Likewise, we are committed to exceeding our employee expectations in providing a rewarding and enjoyable work environment.

These goals combined, define the business philosophy of the Anemi Hotel.

 

The Anemi Hotel regularly holds in-house training sessions on different areas such as: First Aid at work, Pool life guard, Fire training, Health and Hygiene, Safe use of chemicals. Also encourage the staff to participate in special interest courses for personal and business development.

 

A Health and Safety at work risk report has been conducted for employee’s safety.

 

At the Anemi we prohibit discrimination against and harassment of any employee or any applicant for employment because of race, color, national or ethnic origin, age, religion, disability, sex or any other characteristic protected under the Cyprus Low.

 

All employee contracts of employment are in accordance with government employee legislation.

 

The Hotel Manager is responsible for managing the welfare and labor standards of all employees. Three members of staff are also assigned responsible for managing human rights.

Principles
• We are committed to minimising the impact of our operations on the environment by means of a programme of pollution prevention.
• We are committed to comply with all relevant environmental legislation and regulations
• We are committed to protect the environment through continual improvement of our environmental performance. All our businesses take into account the effects that our activities have on the environment.
Intentions
• To understand the environmental issues associated with our activities
• To minimize the amount of wastes we dispose of, seek to recover through re-use or recycling as much as is economically practicable and ensure that the remainder is disposed of properly
• To minimise the use of energy and water through monitoring and increasing the efficiency of use and purchase environmental sound products wherever possible, while upholding the highest standards of comfort, quality and guest service
• To ensure that all employees are aware of their individual responsibilities for acting in accordance with the policy
• To set and review environmental objectives and targets and to implement an action plan, addressing waste reduction, energy and resources conservation and raw materials and products environmental evaluation. The hotel will release the necessary resources to achieve these objectives using the best available practices, which do not entail excessive cost.

The ANEMI hotel attaches great importance to Safety and Health at Work and has set the goal of continuous improvement, always taking into account employees, partners and any third parties that may be affected by its operations. To achieve the above goal, a safety and health management system at work has been designed and implemented in accordance with the Laws and Regulations on Safety and Health at Work.

 

To achieve this goal, the hotel has set the following goals:

 

– Full compliance with relevant legislation.
– Continuous training, development of the industry and assessment of the personnel in the use of machinery and equipment, in the use of chemical substances and in the manual handling of loads and continuous awareness in matters of Safety and Health at work.
– Conducting risk assessment studies to take preventive and protective measures.
– Providing all staff with the necessary equipment, information and training to carry out their work without accidents.

Providing the staff and any third party deemed necessary with all the necessary means of personal protection and training them in their use, safekeeping and maintenance. At the hotel, all staff are responsible for taking all necessary measures and precautions for the safety and health of themselves and any other persons who may be affected by their work. The hotel management and its members, staff and customers, are fully informed and continue to follow all protective measures against the COVID-19 pandemic, in accordance with the decrees set by the Republic of Cyprus and the WHO.


The hotel management is responsible for reporting accidents, occupational diseases and dangerous incidents that occur in its workplaces.

Adherence to Health and Safety Laws and Regulations in Work is expected to lead to:

– Early identification and prevention of risks.
– In the correct information and training of the employees.
– In the development and maintenance of the belief that the safety and health of employees is a matter of first priority

The hotel policy is available to all stakeholders and is continuously monitored so that it remains relevant and appropriate for the business.

Anemi Hotel & Suites is committed to protecting wildlife and helping to reduce the environmental impact associated with human activities.

Specifically:
Based on the 2013 Wildlife Protection and Management Act compliance with the following is required:
Protection of biological diversity through the preservation of natural habitats, wild fauna and flora.
• Ensuring the conservation or restoration of natural habitats and species of community interest.
• Any form of intentional capture or killing of animal species in their natural environment is prohibited.
• The possession and transportation of skins derived from any species of wild animal is prohibited.

It is prohibited to import and trade the skin of certain baby seals and products derived from them.
• Capturing wildlife species and exhibiting them for entertainment purposes is prohibited.

Conduct actions:
• Tourists are encouraged not to pay for wildlife photography.
• Tourists are encouraged to report any incident of animal abuse immediately.
• Tourists are encouraged not to litter or cut flowers during their excursions.
• Informing visitors about how they can contribute with their actions to the end of actions related to the exploitation of animals.
• Donations to charitable institutions.

Anemi Hotel, believes that reducing environmental and social impacts as well as saving money while supporting the local economy can be achieved through the implementation of environmental policy and the purchase of products that meet the criteria.

Specifically:

  • According to the environmental policy, when purchasing the products, price and performance, distance, safety and health effects as well as the environmental impact after the end of the products’ life are taken into account.

  • Informing suppliers regarding the preference to purchase products and services that comply with the environmental policy.

  • Reuse of packaging by suppliers.
  • Delivered in less packaging
